Running for four hours our Half Day Barra Fishing charters is an introduction to barra fishing in the Top End.

We offer Sunrise Half Day Barra Fishing Charters to Corroboree Billabong, which is about an hour out of Darwin.  Other Half Day Fishing Charters include Darwin Harbour, Shoal Bay and the Coastal Areas of Darwin. All these locations are within minutes of Darwin City.

Runs throughout the year

Our One Day Barra Fishing Charters run throughout the year, to the various waterways around the Top End.

Our One Day Charters take you to the various waterways including; casting the lillies in the Billabongs; trolling the mouths of Tidal Rivers; site casting the mangroves and mudflats of the Bays, Harbours and Coastal Areas of the Top End.

Runoff and Buildup

Extended Charters run for 2 – 7 Days during the runoff and Buildup targeting metre barra and threadfin salmon.

Our Extended Charter packages includes; Transfers ex Darwin, accommodation,  meals and light refreshments, lures and tackle and a professional and an experienced guide whilst on tour with Reel Screamin Barra Fishing.

Darwin Barra Fishing Charters

Reel Screamin Barra Fishing specialises in small group, customised barra and inshore fishing charters.  We offer clients half and full day charters, as well as extended charters.

With over 14 years experience guiding in the Top End, Jarrod has extensive knowledge of the waterways you will be fishing in. Whether you are a beginner or experienced angler, Jarrod will guide you or give you tips in the art of barra fishing, which includes casting, and the barra producing method of jig trolling.

We take up to four clients per boat, and are able to cater for larger groups of up to 40.

Freshwater and saltwater barra fishing charters are run year round.  Depending on time of year and weather conditions areas fished include:

Extended Barra Fishing Charters

Extended Barra Fishing Charters run through the Runoff and the Buildup, targeting Barramundi, threadfin salmon and Jewfish at Shady Camp.

For anglers, having a small number ensures each client is given the time to learn how to cast and jig troll, to increase your NT fishing knowledge to catch that first barra.

Half Day Barra Fishing Charters

Running for four hours our Half Day Charters offers you an opportunity to have a chance at catching a barra if you are a pushed for time.

Charters Offered

Time of Year:  May – October

Get on the billabong at sunrise to see the sun coming up over the water and the wildlife wake up for the day.  Once on the water you will steam to your fishing location, whilst learning more about the area from your guide and what you will expect for the day.

Times:   May – November

Fishing either Darwin Harbour, Shoal Bay or one of the coastal areas around the City, you are in close proximity of Darwin. Fishing is done around the tides so you will need to discuss with us on options for fishing.

Get out and pull some crab pots to catch some Top End Mud Crabs.
